Violent video games effect bahvior?
So I have seen many articles on how violent video games can cause violent behavior... is it possible that they have it backwards? maybe violent kids choose to play violent video games? I know I'm not a violent person, and I have tried many violent games, but never really took a big interest in them...Im looking for an anser to my question, not a blame game p scientifically ther is a quarrilation between violent kids, and violent games... thats a proven fact, however, my qustion is, is their study and thinking backwards ?
What are some of the popular video games about?
I know in GTA you steal cars and do missions, I figure all games have missions , have seen Far Cry, but what are some of the other games about. What is the big deal about Crysis, while you are at it too, please.I appreciate the summary of GTA IV I run over phone booths in it mostly but I really wanted to know about OTHER games. OTHER games. NOT GTA. OTHER.For example Far Cry 2 I think is about a country or small continent that is politically unstable and a bit of a free for all.Fall Out 3 I think 3 is a post apocolyptic world where you have to fend for yourself after something looks like nuclear war.WoW Wizards and dragons and stuff, but not really animated DND. Power based on spells and other stuff you collect in the game.
Questions about video games/socializing online. who does it?
I am writing a paper for a critical thinking class and it is about fantasy games i.e. world of warcraft, second life, even sims...any game really . The paper is going to talk about people who play these games, but more specifically people who socialize online and whether or not they only socialize online...Also this difference between socializing online and in " real life" .I'm looking for any imput anyone might have. Also I have come up with some questions 1. Do you play any games or socialize online?2. If yes what games where do you socialize?3. What do you think are the differences between this online world and the " real world" 4. What should I do about my wife's problem with video games?
When my wife, and I were dating I told her that i'm a gamer, and she didn't have a problem with it. Now that we are married she always nags me about playing video games and telling me how she doesn't want me to play them. Now I spend more than enough time with her. I usually spend a few hours a night just talking with her. Also when I ask her why me playing games bothers her she just gets upset, and won't talk to me. From the vibes I get from her I think she isn't so much mad about the time I spend on the games, as the money I spend on them. Like I said she won't directly tell me why it bothers her, so I just have to guess why. Does anyone know what I should do about this situation, and why she didn't have a problem when we were dating, but now she does?

I'm a young person, looking into the world of video game programing. I see it a a future career. I already completed the first step of making a game writing it down.
