Question: What does "greatest hits" mean in terms of video games/playstation 2/playstation 3 games?

This has always bothered me. Thank you! If you must know, the game that sparked this question was my copy of Grand Theft Auto IV. I don't know about you, but in my opinion that game is awesome!

It just means you can get it for cheap. It's a ploy by Sony and company to sell more games. Despite what other people might say, there is no set number of how many copies a game must have sold or how long it's been out before it gets the Greatest Hits label. Most people associate Greatest Hits with being a best selling game, but that's not always the case. 50 Cent: Bulletproof has the Greatest Hits label, but it's a terrible game.

Usually means over a million sold. Thats about the time that it gets a reduced price put on it.
